Francis Mallman prefers the village tranquility of Garzón in Uruguay.
He has a restaurant.  It’s name is Garzón.  The menu includes lamb, duck, ravioli, chilled almond soup, beef with potatoes, salmon rusti  or grape fruit and parmesan salad.
He works also as a journalist for international magazines and T.V programmes .  He travels all over the world discovering new things in Asia, Europe and Australia.  He says “I want to make my programmes in places.  I know and love, places I can embrace”.
In the holidays he goes to Patagonia.  He likes Chubut and loves riding around in his jeep with his girl friend.  He cooks outdoors and improvises anything: pasta, vegetables and all sorts of soups.
He wears jeans, like sleppers  and sunglasses.  Every morning He has four coffees with milk but not with sugar, and for breakfast he likes to eat bread and cheese.  He never drinks fizzy drinks and early each morning He goes out running trough the streets of Garzón.
He says “In Garzón we are Happy”.
Garzón is a small village in Uruguay.  The people from the town work in farms.
The park of the small town has a beautiful design with old palms trees and benches.  Near the church, in the hotel Garzón there are nice gardens with flowers.  It has got five bedrooms with king beds and private bathrooms.  There are wood burning chimneys.
In the rooms there are pictures, lamps and a mirror.  The windows are big and the floor is brown.
The hotel is open  during in summer time.  There is a swimming  pool and a comfortable lobby.

Level 1- End-of-term Project

In order to integrate several topics dealt with during this first level course (March-July 2011). I asked students to pick a character or famous person and prepare a presentation about them. It should include a brief profile, an overview of the character's main activities and a description of their home and of the area where they live.

OPEN THE COMMENTS SECTION TO PUBLISH YOUR PROJECT. Don't forget to sign!

The Spirit

This is a student's tasks log. It will be used as another learning tool for my students and I, their teacher, to communicate. It is mainly a class board in which to pin projects, task instructions and news.
Anyone is welcome to browse. Bear in mind that whatever is published has been penned by an English as a Second Language Student. Information is most probably fictionalized, so remember not to take data to the letter.
Welcome!
