Revision Time...

Some ideas for revision...

Listen to unit 3 dialogues with and without the script.
Write only the answers of a dialogue and try to remember the questions and vice versa.
Go to New English File and work on Grammar (file 1,2,3). Vocabulary (a to i), Games, Text builder (1 and 2), Audio Words, Practical English (File 1, 2, 3)
Go to Headway Elementary Online Practise and keep up the revision.
Work on the photocopies of the revision units I gave you.
Read The Daily Mirror or The Sun. These English newspapers are easier to read. They bring lots of pictures (like Crónica).

We'll have the 2nd Oral Assessment, so prepare a story to retell in class. Check the next blog entry because I'm going to post some fairy tale links to youtube.

Workbook: finish unit 5.

3rd Writing Assignment. Write an email retelling your last holidays or a holiday you liked.

Level 2. Wednesday 3rd October

Practice for the 1st Ongoing Oral Assessment: making an invitation, suggesting places to go, outdoor activities, like/love/hate/dislike/enjoy/fancy + -ing verb, dialogues and phrases from unit 4.

2nd Writing Assignment: Write to Andescross as suggested in the Skills 2, page 10.

Workbook: finish unit 4. Bring the writing from page 30 to class (not to hand in).

Skills: Read "A backpacker's tale".

Write the comment to the song "Lemon Tree".

Writing Assignment #1. Commuting. Use these questions as guidance. 1. Describe your journey to work. 2. What do you do while you are travelling? 3. Are you ever late? 4. What do you do when there is a transport strike? 5. What are the good and bad points of your trip to work? Choose 1 or 2 more means of transport, What are their good and bad points?
