I NEED INFORMATION ABOUT DIFFERENT ACTIVITIES TO DO IN NORTH PATAGONIA: TREKKING, MOUNTAIN BIKING, SNOW BOARDING, SKING AND ITS PRICES (DOES IT INCLUDE MEDICAL INSURANCE?). BUT, I WOULD LIKE CLIMBING A FAMOUS MOUNTAIN: “CERRO TRONADOR”, TELL ME TOO ABOUT IT AND WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING? SO, WHICH IS THE BEST SEASON TO GO AND EXPLORE THOSE PLACES?

  11. This is my response to the Lis’s letter

Hello Lis, first, we’re get very happy for your intention of come to our country. As for your questions, there aren’t mountains in Buenos Aires, for know our gorgeous mountains, you must traveling from Buenos Aires to San Martin de los Andes. Buenos Aires has a lot of places for stay, we recommend “Las Flores Hostel” located in the area of San Telmo; in that zone also has many restaurants and bars, friendlies and nice places, so that all are highly recommended.

Any other question, please contact us.

    From now, welcome to Argentina
    Regards.

  14. Dear Esteban Azanza:
It me gives me great pleasure to be able to give you information about Argentina. The first thing you need to know about Argentina is it is an incredible destination. All you want find for a tourist destination is in the country. Bariloche is a perfect place to go trekking or climbing. It has paradise ways with big lakes and forests. The best time to visit Bariloche and to do these activities is the summer, because during the winter, snow is accumulated in the paths. The cost for a direct flight to Bariloche from Buenos Aires is U$S 400 approximately. If you need a personalized mountaineering trips for trekking, we have specialized professionals. The cost is U$S 200 a day, This rate does not include expenses of food or transport. I’ll be glad to answer any questions you may have.

    Warm regards

    ANDESCROSS ANSWER
Hi! Esteban welcome to Andescross. We’re experienced guides and pioneers in trekking and mountaineering . We are always organising customized excursions. You can choose different option: trekking, climbing or mountain biking.

San Carlos de Bariloche is a great city surrounded by lakes (Nahuel Huapi, Gutiérrez, Moreno and Mascardi) and mountains (Tronador, Cerro Catedral, Cerro López). They are ideal for skiing, trekking and climbing. In winter time there are programmes with backcountry skiing in the volcanoes of Bariloche area.

Cerro Catedral is the most modern ski resort in South America. Nahuel Huapi National Park offers a system of mountains huts and some wild treks with tent logistic.
Mountaineering: you begin waking up very early to see the sunrise, you’ll get your equipment together and climb to the summit, then descend to the lodge. This trip can also be done in two days, depending on the weather, fitness level of the climbers. It includes transportation from Bariloche, meals, lodging in tents and guide cost: u$s 530 (two persons).

You can fly from Buenos Aires by Aerolíneas Argentinas (a round trip ticket costs around $ 2.045/u$s 524). If you decide to travel by bus you can choose between different companies, such as "Via Bariloche", "El Crucero del Norte", "Andesmar. They have got comfortable and modern buses with similar prices.

The most popular season to visit this place is the winter.

Near the Nahuel Huapi Lake, there are also a variety of discos: Grisu, Rocket, Cerebro. If you like shopping go to Mitre street where you can buy traditional and delicious chocolates.
Send an e-mail to us. We are at you service!

    Jorge Pérez.
